150th anniversary celebrations of Avoca parish
A gala concert featuring the magnificent Dublin Welsh Male Voice choir takes place in Avoca parish church this Friday (February 24th) at 7.30p.m.(Ss. Mary and Patrick’s Church). The event is part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Avoca parish this year.
Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir, St. Joseph’s School Choir, Avoca National School Choir and Combined Ecumenical Choir will perform on the night and will offer a repertoire of Welsh, Irish and international music to create a memorable evening.

Avoca parish church was built by the local community back in 1862. Huge preparations are underway for a busy programme of unique events to commemorate and celebrate the lives of the people who built Avoca parish and others who have lived in the community over the past 150 years.
In conjunction with parish Priest Fr. Eamon Crosson, members of the local community have teamed up to create a spectacular programme of events with something for everyone in the family.
